Analysis of prospective early childhood education teachers' proposals of nature field trips: An educational experience to bring nature close during this stage

Nature field trips stand out as pedagogical experiences because of their benefits in science learning, even early childhood education (ECE). However, previous studies have found that teachers often do not make use full educational potential. The present research offers a descriptive exploration ECE prospective teachers' enactment nature trips, detecting the difficulties they encounter and mistakes make. To this end, 205 videos were analyzed qualitatively to determine planning proposed carried by teachers. results indicated most participants designed which could develop conceptual content related living things through an expository method, with pupils having passive role. They did activities, materials, questions, or evaluation during neither integrate into classroom programming. This study adds understanding how perceive trips. Implications are presented for teacher educators working preservice build upon prepare them implementing students.
